Duties include:

Responding to user trouble calls.

Developing, updating and maintaining the Systems Design Engineering Computer Control Plan.

Coordinating technical support with Information Systems for hardware, software and networking problems and repair.

Liaison engineering onsite support to DFI subcontractor Teledyne Brown Engineering.

Recommending, installing and supporting PSpice (electrical circuit design/analysis), OrCAD (electrical schematic capture) and Mathcad (math analysis) software for 11 electrical engineers.

Reviewing all electrical drawings before they left the Electrical Engineering Branch.

Lead engineer in Electrical Integration for the Solid Rocket Booster GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and IAS (Integrated Assembly Systems) Engineering Work Authorizations.

Supporting engineers with spreadsheets and plotting/graphing software (e.g., Lotus, Excel, Mathcad).

Designing, testing and implementing a PC change action history FileMaker Pro database for Configuration Management.

Designing, testing and implementing a PC action item R:BASE relational database for suspense items in the Electrical Engineering Branch.

Technical liaison with customer representatives to ensure USBI compliance with established policies and launch operations protocol.

Supporting the Instrumentation and Measurements Working Group, EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) Control Board, and the Ice Suppression System Working Group as primary representative.

Supporting the FRF (Flight Readiness Firing) Working Group and the SIRs (Systems Integration Reviews).

Onsite support.

Technical review of OMIs (Operations and Maintenance Instructions).

Liaison with manufacturing, design and test engineering elements (Huntsville, AL, Wasatch, UT, and Kennedy Space Center, FL).

Contracts: Design, manufacture and qualification of nuclear energy safety protective systems.

Provided technical and administrative direction to respective components to meet contractual commitments. Initiate and participate in the preparation of projects schedules and costs. Evaluate and measure program of work in relation to schedules and budgets. Establish and maintain effective liaison with the customer, local management, and division headquarters. One of three project engineers, my primary assignment was to manage GE's first solid state nuclear energy safety system project.

Engineering support to wirelist generation group.

Acting computer operations supervisor of 13 people (data entry operators, programmers, and systems operators) which supported administration, engineering, and manufacturing. (Hewlett-Packard HP3000 computer system)

Management liaison to word processing group.

Preparing marketing proposals.

Provided engineering technical support to Electronics, Electrical, and Mechanical Calibration Laboratories personnel.

Responsibilities included:

Technical supervision of laboratory and field technicians.

Generating engineering documents (calibration and maintenance procedures) to NASA and military specification standards.

Managing the automated computerized calibration equipment recall system.

Performing value engineering analysis on test equipment using computerized data.

Liaison to USAF Primary Measurement Laboratories and select manufacturers providing specialized calibration support.

Originally assigned to Vandenberg Test Center as metrology engineer to provide technical supervision and support of the new metrology laboratories for the USAF Manned Orbiting Laboratory (M.O.L.) program. Successfully justified all metrology test support equipment in Air Force negotiations. Slated to supervise all other metrology engineers at Vandenberg Test Center.

Calibration Group: Generated calibration and maintenance engineering documents for laboratory and field technicians. Reviewed procedures as technical editor. Provided liaison between Calibration Procedures Engineering Group and Engineering Drawing Check Group to clarify terminology and resolve inconsistencies. Trained incoming engineers and technical writers.

Instrumentation Group: Provided instrumentation engineering support to Mechanical Engineering Group which was responsible for product acceptance testing of cryogenic hardware for NASA. Designed master patch panel in test facility. Provided instrumentation engineering requirements and real-time support to computer programmers during acceptance tests. Provided technical supervision of instrumentation laboratory and test technicians.

Instructed FAA flight and ground courses for private, commercial, instrument, and instructor pilots. Promoted to Chief Instructor (flight and ground school departments) and Chief Pilot (air taxi department). Appointed by FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) as Safety Counselor. Promoted to Administrative Assistant to the President.

Responsibilities included: personnel selection of office staff, instructors, flight line department, air taxi pilots; accounting department operations; policy-making.

Prepared and instructed courses for private, commercial and instrument pilot written examinations.

Managed the daily operations of the flight instruction and aircraft rental departments, aircraft sales and accounting operations. Coordinated accident prevention programs with the (FAA).
